Kerwin joined W&L Mock Trial in 2024-2025, during his first year at W&L, and returned for his second season in 2025-2026. For the 2026-2027 season, Kerwin was elected Vice President. Prior to attending W&L, Kerwin competed in three years of high school mock trial on the Aberdeen High School Mock Trial Team in Aberdeen, Maryland, serving a Captain for his final year.
